Before coming to Charlottesville Hyperbarics through the HOW Foundation, I was basically a walking checklist of post-deployment issues—brain fog, memory like a goldfish, joint pain in places I didn’t even know had joints, and lungs that felt like I was breathing through a straw. Top notch facility staffed by the most amazing people!

In the fall of 2024 I completed 2 months of daily sessions at Charlottesville Hyperbarics, as prescribed by my doctor. Living in Richmond made it a challenge, but soon after beginning my treatments I started to look forward to arriving at Charlottesville Hyperbarics each day, not only because I began to enjoy the hyperbaric sessions, but also because of the warmth of the team there. Ted, Jordan, Gregor, and Grayson all set the bar for professionalism, friendliness, and compassion in a therapeutic, healthcare setting. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained, and the hyperbaric chambers all have TVs with Netflix, YouTube, etc that you can watch, or even listen to podcasts and audiobooks. The experience couldn't possibly be any better than what you get at Charlottesville Hyperbarics.

In decades of writing reviews, there is no business I can recall where I wanted to leave such a glowing review. I have only extremely positive things to say about my 40 sessions at Charlottesville Hyperbarics. Our community is incredibly fortunate to have this facility and team available to us!

Ok. First let me start by saying this. This is life changing. Unexpectedly life changing. The entire staff is awesome. any and all random stupid questions i asked, they had the answers to. I am going to miss the random conversations about obscure b list movies, the dad jokes and just the overall welcoming environment. At least until i schedule my next float and message. I had been doing message therapy and aqua floats for over a year to help me calm down and work on my physical health. The Marine Corps beat me up pretty bad. I had all but gave up on trying to fix my PTSD and TBI. Until Ansley suggested HBOT. HBOT has all but eliminated the random night terrors I was having, helped me have a more restorative sleep, I no longer have knee and back pain, and i feel more focused through out the day. I'm not sure if this is a product of HBOT or not, but my eating schedule is no longer, whatever junk i grab at the end of the day, but now its actually eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kind of like a normal person. And as a bonus, you get to either get to catch up with your favorite TV drama or, best of all, take a nap in the middle of the day. I'm sure I'm leaving out other thing this helped or healed for me. It's a lot. I encourage any and all VETS to do this and trust the process. THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER.

A beautiful healing facility.
The employees are very kind, courteous, and helpful.
I went through a 40 dive program also involving float chamber (sensory deprivation) and messages.
From the halfway point, I started to recognize physical and mental improvements.
I finished my program and have been informed that the improvements will continue for another 2 or 3 weeks. Such a blessing.
I am grateful and blessed to have experienced the life changes that have been made possible through Charlottesville hyperbaric.

I went for HBOT for CKD, Lung disease, and bell palsy. In 2 sessions reduced chronic bell palsy symptons and lungs were feeling better. Kidneys numbers started to get better after treatments. My son went to for brain fog and migranes. It has been 4 months and no major migranes. The staff is great and we felt safe going into the chamber. Thanks!

I was in Charlottesville for a surgery and went to CH 9 times. Not only did the hyperbaric chamber help with my post surgery swelling and bruising, it also helped with a non surgery related back and neck issue that I was having. As a veteran, I was able to receive intensive HBOT through a grant (Project Gratitude) provided by the HOW foundation. Although I was skeptical, I was fed up with traditional medicine. Prior to treatment, I rated my mental and physical health poor. I had been struggling to return to my formerly active self after a major health crisis, had gained weight due to medications and had been dealing with trauma from my military service.
I now recommend HBOT to anyone and everyone who will listen. The difference after treatment is night and day. I am sleeping better, surgery sites that were tender and sore no longer hurt, chronic pain and inflammation are less and I am the most emotionally stable I've been in a long time.
